French to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters / Acd.paper on Italian M5S movement
French term or phrase:se révèle tout à fait compréhensible
I am aware of the possible translations here, but I am having problems in choosing one with the correct nuance, and fitting this into the sentence, I have begun:
"what seems to be unclassifiable..... , has proved to be ...
Ce qui semble donc inclassable, selon les catégories traditionnelles de la politique, se révèle tout à fait compréhensible selon l’esprit du temps de notre société qui est surtout et avant tout une société de consommation.
I closed this question a while ago already, as I decided to use "consistent with..", which should imply the same thing in the context:
"What seems unclassifiable, in terms of traditional political classification, has proved to be reasonably consistent with current general feeling within our society, which, above all, is a consumer society. "
