as for 'drag', in Canada it's used as a synonym of 'bummer'. What a drag/what a bummer!
And I can't hear the word "drag" without thinking of the Beastie Boys so now I've got "Fight For Your Right" going through my head non-stop. Which makes it fiendishly tricky (ha!) to get any work done :-)
I admit I'm a UK Eng speaker, and "drag" is more US Eng, but from US TV/films I always get the impression that a drag is something which is merely tiresome. Worst drag ever would therefore just be the most tiresome thing imaginable.
