French term or phrase: architecte vs urbaniste
Hi everyone,

Context: a report on a company's information systems.

It is unfortunately a bullet (ie next to no context) of individuals concerned by one of the company's IS security directives.

"les architectes et urbanistes SI" (système d'information).

As I understand it, the first term is broader here, while the second is more detailed. I thought of translating it by the "information and system architects".

On the other hand, this may be a distinction that is made in French but not so much in English, encompassed by the term of "IS architect".

Any expert advice most appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
SB

Asker: Thanks for taking the time to answer, but that is the wrong field. I am translating a document on information systems, ie. computers.

In case you were wondering, the previous note was just something that Google turned up for "IT architect" and that I found amusing.
