Suspect there are a couple of typos in this sentence: "entrepris" instead of "entreprise", and "fonds" instead of "fond". The "fond" refers to the substance of the case, as opposed to procedural issues (see Eurodicautom or any FR-EN legal dictionary). It's hard to tell without further context, but it looks as if the sentence is referring to proceedings on the substantive issues of law raised by the case.
