DEFINITION DU SERVICE :
Le service a pour objectifs :
• d’améliorer l’accueil et l’information réservés par la Justice aux victimes
d’infractions pénales et à leur entourage, ainsi que de contribuer à améliorer la
politique en faveur des victimes
• de sensibiliser le monde judiciaire à la problématique spécifique des victimes
Pour assurer ses missions, il propose :
• un accueil et une écoute attentive
• une information sur le fonctionnement de la justice, du dépôt de plainte à
l’exécution des peines (déroulement de la procédure pénale, évolution des
dossiers, information sur les modalités de libérations conditionnelles,…)
• une orientation vers les personnes ou les services les plus appropriés pour
répondre aux besoins des victimes (avocats, Service d’Aide aux Victimes,
assurances, Service d’Aide à la Jeunesse)
• un soutien et une assistance à différents stades de la procédure pénale, lorsque
ceux-ci constituent pour la victime des moments difficiles et chargés sur le plan
émotionnel (à l’occasion d’une audience au tribunal, lors de l’identification d’un
proche décédé, à l’occasion d’une restitution de pièces à conviction, pour la
consultation d’un dossier, …)

Admission : toute personne victime d’une infraction pénale, ainsi que son entourage
