French to English translations [Non-PRO] Bus/Financial - Law (general) / Money laundering & finance of terrorism
French term or phrase: la police des jeux
I cannot figure out what this term means.
"...des obligations..... de la partie législative du présent code sont conduites par des agents de la police nationale chargés de la police des jeux, spécialement habilités par arrêté du ministre de l'intérieur."
In my opinion the correct translation here is "policing", without doubt. The officers in question are presumably members of the SCCJ, as dwt2 said at the beginning. I am sure this does not refer to a gambling control board.
Perhaps add "police" to reflect that they're from the police (nationale), i.e. (agents de la police nationale chargés de) la police des jeux = "(police officers responsible for) enforcing gambling regulations"?
