disagree  Daryo: your reference is about "tribunal de paix" not "tribunal de grande instance", and anyway which bit would confirm/justify your translation?

  -> I will be happy to see a better answer from you. Even though it is tribunal de paix it does not mean it cant be used for the high court. It was a suggestion anyway. The terminology is quite close to the EN

agree  AllegroTrans: I too would like to see Daryo provide a "better translation". You could perhaps say "jurisdiction of the President/Presiding Judge" but it amounts to the same thing
