French term or phrase:que ce paiement est trop ambigu pour valoir acquiescement
I am translating a legal document regarding a fraudulent assignment of shares. I am very confused about the following sentence, which is part of a whereas clause:
que ce paiement est trop ambigu pour valoir acquiescement, de surcroît à une décision dans laquelle il intervient pour un deux mille cinq centièmes.
Explanation: It might be worth your having a look at the GDT where the word "acquiescence" is delat with three times under the heading "droit". Generally it means consent but can also refer to civil procedure, to the consent to a ruling, the underlying implicaiton being that you will not pursue the matter further. I am probably reading too much into it, but have a look at the GDT anyway.
Otherwise, if you think that you can apply the usual meaning of consent then howabout :
"... this payment is too ambiguous to give rise to (to be worthy of) assent*, particularly to a request in respect of a 1/2500 th share"
Note : acquiescer à (une demande) = to acquiesce (to, or in a request), to assent to (a request)

* As acquiescence means submission, backing down, it suggests that the consent is tacit rather than express.
