N.N/ : 64.01.1964 085-79
(64.01.1964 - c'est la date de naissance.) Mais comment il faut traduire N.N./? What does it stand for in English? Merci beaucoup d'avance.

English translation:Name hitherto unknown
Explanation:
= Nonem Nominandum
qui reste NN en anglais. Il se peut que, dans le cas présent, le nom de la personne concernée ait été remplacé par NN afin de conserver son anonymité vis-à-vis du traducteur.

Le numéro suivant NN ressemble à un numéro de sécurité sociale.

DOB

Explanation:
Just a couple of thoughts really.

1) I don't see how 64.01.1964 can be a date of birth. Most months don't have that many days!

2) If it is a typo, and what you need is the translation for 'date de naissance', the standard abbreviation is DOB.

Not sure if this helped at all!

Regards

Mary

It is a derived number

Explanation:
I think it is derived from date of birth but not date of birth itself.
Perhaps they have a certificate of good conduct numbering systme accordingly, it may not be bmt like bon service but an offical numbering of any institution such as shipowners or any other insttitution.
Higly possible that this Certificat de bo-nn-e conduite
nn of bonne is used to denote all
"Certificat de bonne conduite"
Certainly these are guesses.
But I am sure the number is derived.

Anon.

Explanation:
The acronimic N.N isn't much used in english any more. I'm not sure that "anon" is really any better, especially in this context.
I'd really need to know what the number is - as someone else said, there aren't 64 days in any month... It certainly isn't a french social security number. They always start with a 1 or a 2 for man or woman and have the departement of birth in the middle. The year of birth isn't shown in full either.
I'll see if I can find out more.

N.N/

Explanation:
En Belgique, N.N. signifie "numéro national"; il s'agit du n° d'inscription au registre national.

La structure est AA.MM.JJ n°xxx-yy
