French term or phrase:cannon
In a legal document describing the obligations of one party to another:
"...le paiement d'un **cannon** annuel de 45.000.000 BEF dû aux sociétés demanderesses originaires en raison du contrat d'emphytéose qu'elles auraient consenti à XXXX..."
Explanation: I don't know how this (misspelled) word slipped into French, it sounds strangely similar to the English canon or the Italian canone, whose French translation might be redevance or loyer. Anyhow, apart from the strange mistake, I believe that rent is the meaning.
