peer agreement (net): +2Claim Explanation: Certainly in legal circles we always used to use "amiable" to refer to "out of court claims/settlements"; highly preferably to taking the matter through the legal system. However, given what you say about the other sections of the document, i feel that simply "claim" would imply that the claimant does not want to involve the courts. For example, if i think the HMRC has overcharged me, I "file a claim" with them, but that does not mean i have issued proceedings, simply that I have gone through their internal procedure to get my money back. |
