French to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Manufacturing / Production costs
French term or phrase: MOIvp
This term appears in an analysis of a distributor's production costs (inasmuch as this distributor "produces"). Note the capitalisation here is how it appears in the original, if that gives any clues:

Mod (sous-traitance du conditionnement et production interne sur le site de XXX) / MOIvp (encadrement, caristes, entretien) / Production (direction de la production, staff, consommables directs)

I believe Mod = Main d'oeuvre directe, which indicates that MOI = Main d'oeuvre indirecte (http://www.proz.com/kudoz/245540)

But what about the "vp"? Any ideas? Thanks!

English translation:Main d'oeuvre indirecte par volume de production
Explanation:
Just an option. Indirect labour costs (per unit) may differ depending on the volume.
Also - please see my question re: the industry. As I may be able to help further...

VP is an acronym in the French car industry (VP véhicules neufs particuliers, VUL véhicules utilitaires légers...) - but this would not really apply to DIY.

Thanks Ian (and Bourth). "vp" probably has to do with variable or volume production, but I will ask the client.
