This is a little "ball" that comes with the detergent into which you pour the detergent. Then you put it right in the drum with the rest of the laundry. Any ideas anyone?

I use one like that with Downy (the clothes freshner). That one is simply called the "Downy Ball" but it does spread around the fabric freshner late in the last spin cycle.

Explanation:
Two of the many names I have seen for it while doing my shopping for a few years, depending on the trade mark. Most of them give it a name related to their brand name. But after that, in the instructions part you will read (put the diffusing ball or put the diffuser with the required amount of detergent directly into the drum on top of your wash).
Should I name the various trade marks' choices?

I'm sure that we'd just put the word diffuser as already suggested, all the named products need "ball" added because the first word is their own product name - Vizir for example.
