French term or phrase: agents hydraglissants
Fabric softener which makes ironing easier. "La formule révolutionnaire de cet assouplisant contient des agents hydraglissants qui facilitent le repassage." Î've looked on the net and the company seems to have made this word up. Does anyone have any good ideas about what I could do with it in English?

Thanks, Paola. I had thought of anti-wrinkle agent, but yours sounds MUCH better. I appreciate all your effort!

The company that uses your sentence talks about

Explanation:
"water-softening agents" in its English web pages, but that does sound like a French invention to me. Try looking up the multinational and its related products for more.

Supersmooth

Explanation:
I would imagine that they would like to put across to the consumers that using this softener will ease the ironing. I have used this type of softener and it is true that the iron does seem to slide. In french glissant can be used as slide, smooth or glide
