(Input) Keywords Explanation: or Key fields (I would leave "input" away) or –if you want to be more database oriented– use simply "Indexed topics", "Indexed fields". Clefs d'entrée very probably refers here the topics by which a selection can be made, that is to say the database entries which are going to be indexed in order to retreive them fast and to extract almost instantaneously. When filling the form either internally or by the customer itself, one must choose one or more of these topics, for example : when asked "for which reason did you buy by XXX ? Tick the appropriate boxes", each box title. In my example it could be "price, quality, service, support, delivery, etc" is called a "clef d'entrée". HTH many years struggling in the hard datasystem/database environment |
