dans l'hypothèse où le contacteur de puissance était de surcroît fermé (contact sur ON), une mesure par pince ampèrmétrique sur le câble positif (en sortie de batterie) a donné une consommation de courant au repos comprise entre 1 et 1,4A. Cette intensité est largement suffisante pour générer un échauffement résistif suite par exemple à une connexion électrique défaillante (soudure de mauvaise qualité, embrochement endommage etc.) qui peut provoquer le ramollissement puis la font des matériaux synthétiques avoisinant.
