French term or phrase: une incidence moindre des FL et des MA
in a text about Parkinson's disease. I think FL stands for fluctuations (in efficacy - ON-OFF), but MA????

Could "MA" be "Mouvements Akinétiques"?
Explanation:
La maladie de Parkinson est généralement manifestée par un trouble du tonus, un tremblement de repos et une akinésie.
La première réponse est intéressante mais l'abbréviation "MA" est dans un texte français, donc la réponse devrait probablement clarifier ce mot en français.
Bonne chance!

Activité motrice, lobe frontal

Explanation:
The following examples are not specific to Parkinsons', but I think that the same term would still apply.

"Motor Activity: Two similar methods were described for motor activity (MA) testing."
http://www.epa.gov/scipoly/sap/1999/july/sess2sup.htm

"In order to study newborns' reactivity, discrimination and preference ofacoustic stimuli, a behavioural response such
motor activity (MA) could be used."
http://www.isisweb.org/group1011.html

Also, I think that FL may mean "frontal lobe". But you will have to see from the context if it is the case. Again, the following examples were not taken from sites specific to Parkinson's disease, but I think that the same term (FL) may still apply.

"The usefulness of frontal lobe (FL) dysfunction as a
conceptual model for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) was investigated"
http://homepage.tinet.ie/~pknightly/DIR1/cause.htm

"patients with the relevant kind of frontal lobe damage (FL patients)"
http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:www.kcl.ac.uk/ip/nevens...

Hope this helps.
