French term or phrase: endofuites
This term is in a kind of checklist about endoprosthesis trials and anevrisms. I have not been able to find a translation for this anywhere on the Net, and there seem to be hardly even any Web sites with the word! So I am really stuck! But hopefully someone here will have the solution. If so, please let me know!

endoleak
Explanation:
Believe it or not!! "Endoleak, or perigraft flow, is a measure of whether or not any liquid blood remains in the aneurysm sac after endovascular exclusion." Found via an AltaVista search for "endoprosthesis" and link to an FDA site (www.fda.gov/search.html).

This is one of two questions that I neglected to grade, but I have decided to wipe my slate clean today. I cannot remember if I chose this term back in January '01, but have a feeling I did. The reference was pretty good. So I am voting for it as the best answer now. Anyway, thanks so much for your assistance that year and a half ago!

internal bleeding, haemorrhage, extravasion, perforation of vessels, etc.

Explanation:
Apparently, this concerns a kind of certain internal bleeding, haemorrhage or lack of urine ( in case of wounded or affected bladder or ureter).

The list of possible contra-indications within (the process of making) endoprosthesis (i.e., in implementing artificial limbs, prosthetic devices, etc. ) should contain some states with possible weakness of interior organs, to which your term is related. Such extravasations, bleeding, h(a)emorrhages might cause/pose complications and even lead to serious interior diseases. It is also useful to look over any (cardio)vascular surgeon literature source:)

Hope you already know the exact translation!
Sincerely yours

endo-luminal peri-prosthetic leak

Explanation:
If the endo-prosthesis (to correct aneurism) is not correctly fitted, a leak may develop, from the lumen of the prosthesis to the lumen of the artery in which it was deployed...
Hope it helps...!
