French term or phrase:ingenierie de prescription
This is from the in-house magazine of a company that makes contact and eyeglass lenses: "Le fruit d'un travail de fond... Recherche et developpement, ingenierie de prescription, informatique - pres de 200 personnes du group ont contribue a l'eclosion de X et de sa marque."
Is this simply prescription engineering?
Thank you for the confirmation, but I should've also asked what it means! I'm wondering if it refers to "prescriptions" for glasses and lenses or something else.
