sclerosed / a sclerosed plaque Explanation: Altho' not a Fr expert, med terms tend to raise the same difficulties in Sp and Pt too! So here's something to go on. SCHLEROSTROPHIED/SCLEROSTROPHIED didn't appear in a search engine, and the nearest was SCHLEROSED/SCLEROSED Chambers gives this forms under the entry SCLERA (nothing under SCHLERA): sclerosed = hardening of tissue Also Bartleby --> http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:8iZ_dyWhIfA:www.bartleb... SEE THIS At post mortem, plaques vary in appearance, size and age, even within one patient. Old lesions appear grey, translucent and firm (sclerosed); the newer lesions appear soft and pink. During life, new lesions continue to appear in different parts of the nervous system for many years. Plaques grow by either coalescence of adjacent lesions, or finger-like extensions (Dawson's fingers) from the plaque edge. FROM http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:MPkkpeCdoZY:www.ms-gate... |
