French to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Cardiology
French term or phrase:TA Gauche gauche couche S 16
Hello and bonjour,
I recently finished a translation. It consisted of an Emergency Consultation. It contained the above listed entry, with another under it listed as "TA Couche gauche ci 8".
I know it means Arterial tension or BP, left seated, but the second one I cant figure out. Also the values do not go with a BP.
I have already submitted it but I would appreciate any imput for the next time.
On the continent, blood pressure (never arterial TENSION) is expressed as cmHg rather than mmHg. So a systolic pressure of 16 = 160 mmHg.
couché is lying down not seated.
ci is probably OCR error for the letter D for diastolic - the figure is consistent - 8 is 80 mmHg.
