Medical - Medical: Cardiology
French term or phrase: le BAV 2/1 raccroche pour une fc de 100/minute
This is part of the conclusion of a stress test report from France (bicycle ergometer).
BAV = bloc atrioventriculaire
fc = fréquence cardiaque

The part I am stuck on is "raccroche" - any ideas appreciated.

Thanks!

Le BAV 2/1 *raccroche* pour une fc de 100/minute
2:1 AV block induces a heart rate of 100/min

A l’électrocardiogramme (Figure
1) le rythme est sinusal avec un bloc
de branche droit associé à un hémibloc
postérieur gauche. Le holter des
24 heures retrouve simplement de
rares extrasystoles ventriculaires
monomorphes, sans salves ni pauses.
A l’épreuve d’effort, il atteint 120
watts, sa fréquence maximale, avec
une montée tensionnelle satisfaisante.
A la trentième seconde de récupération,
une extrasystole ventriculaire
induit un bloc auriculo-ventriculaire
du troisième degré responsable d’un
malaise avec chute sans perte de
connaissance (Figure 2). Finalement,
après plusieurs extrasystoles ventriculaires,
il raccroche un rythme sinusal
(Figure 3).

There it means the patient returned to sinus rhythm after the VES.

Please note Michael's suggestion of 2:1 AV block with a capture rate of 100 beats per minute.

agree  Michael Barnett: I would say 2:1 AV block with a capture rate of 100 beats per minute. (That is a sinus rate of 200/min with 2:1 block.) Raccrocher in the sense of "to grab hold to".

  -> yes, "capture rate" - I was going to suggest "ventricular response rate" but find that only used with AF. Thanks Michael!
