French to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical (general) / blood count report form
French term or phrase:The abbreviation "TE"
The abbreviation appears on a blood count report form and is followed by a space for the lab/doctor to write in the results. Above this abbreviation on the list are platelets, white blood cells, lymphocytes, monocytes, etc. each with a space after them for writing in the results. Could it be "Thromboembolism (TE)"? The result was "négatif" if that helps.
Okay, considering the answers about the other two abbreviations (TC and TS) it looks like the three abbreviations stand for basic coagulation tests - TC = partial thromboplastine time TS = bleeding time... the one test missing could be prothrombin time (PT or TP in French) - this test could indicate if there was a thromboembolism, right? Could it be my original suggestion? I'm not a medical specialist so I really appreciate all of your help!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks MAllaqui.
Asker: That's okay that you answered in French. I'm just still unsure. TE is above two other abbreviations that I now know to be "bleeding time" and "partial thromboplastin time test". Does "Essential thrombocythemia work in this context?
