Hi all,

I'm translating a radiotherapy for lung cancer journal article as part of my MA assignment and I've come across this term and I'm slightly stuck: tomoscintigraphie avec émission de positons au fluorodésoxyglucose.

Context:

From monolingual research into tomoscintigraphie (on its own), Larousse (http://www.larousse.fr/encyclopedie/medical/tomoscintigraphi... points towards SPECT in English, which does seem to tie up.

However, when adding the ending of "avec émission...", there are no results online. And, from my understanding of PET vs SPECT (https://www.nibib.nih.gov/science-education/science-topics/n... SPECT scans do not use positrons, but rather focus on gamma rays.

Does anyone have any idea as to how they'd translate this?

Thanks so much!

:)
