see below Explanation: BOUES (sea, canals) = sludge (deposit) = sediment (sewage) = (sewage) sludge CURAGE (tanks, drains) = clearing-out, cleaning-out (well) = cleaning-out DECHETS = waste Thus, it depends what is being cleaned out/cleared out, you can refer to the 'boues' as 'sludge' or 'sediment'. You could probably even refer to it as 'deposit' or 'waste'. Hope this helps a little. Nikki Robert & Collins |

bottoms/sludge, cleaning waste Explanation: Boues de curage - sludge It looks like you are dealing with a chemical treatment process, and in order to dump the processing chemicals they have to be precipitated as sludge, and later cleaned out. Dechets - usually refers more to solid waste, but can be applied to liquid. |
