from the Pre-Conscious to the Neo-Conscious Explanation: Here what are usually adjectives "conscient" and "inconscient" are used as nouns. The same is done in English at times. Here is an example: "Between the conscious and the unconscious, the mind has put up a swing: all earth creatures, even the supernovas, sway between these two trees, and it never winds down." http://www.serve.com/cyberkaya/kabir.htm The word "unconsciousness" would have been "inconscience" and "consciousness" would have been "conscience" in French. |
