French to English translations [Non-PRO]
French term or phrase:piece unique
fashion context. Part of a description of new trends, 'the right accessories, the piece unique etc'
Explanation: It means something made just once (in the context, usually 'hand-made'). Made-to-measure also directly related to this field, but sounds less special than "pièce unique". A "one-off" may well work. If it's really at the leading edge, then you might try "protoype" although that is closer to engineering.
