French to English translations [PRO]
French term or phrase: m2 nu
This is connected with exhibitions. If the exhibitor signs up before a date then they benefit from a 'remise sur le prix du m2 nu de x%'
Does this just mean the basic sqm price or something different entirely?
English translation:bare squre-metre price
Explanation:
At first sight, this looked like one of those occasional questions "douteuses" which appears, as "m2 nu" said out loud in French gives "aimes-tu nu" (do you like yourself naked). Here we go again, I thought. But no ! Your context probably means the percentage reduction you will get on the price per squre metre "bare" (as in bare-boat charter), ie with nothing on it. Thus probably just the surface area, no stands, no shelving or whatever.

(Ma and my suspicious mind!)

Many thanks for your answer. I hadn't thought of how it would sound said aloud, but will certainly avoid saying it in future!
