French to English translations [PRO]
French term or phrase: organisme paritaire collecteur agrée
This is in an employment contract. The employee is to be trained for so many hours, but if this body refuses to grant the company "une derogation" of this number of hours, the employee will be trained, but for half the number of hours. I know "organisme paritaire" is often a a body made up of staff and management, but this expression is new to me.

approved joint collecting body

Explanation:
organisme paritaire social = joint social establishment (EuroDicAutom)

A few suggestions :

"organisme" : authority, agency, establishment, organism

"paritaire" : joint, collective (altho' not possble here for obvious reasons !)

"agréé" : approved, official, authorised

Perhaps "authorised collective collecting authority" might work - joke !

Explanation:
Sorry, forgot to ask whether you wanted a hand with "dérogation" as it was in ivnerted commas in your question. If so, the how about "(special) dispensation". If you didn't need help on that one, then bin this.

All the best,

Nikki

approved joint collection organization (or agency)

Explanation:
"Joint" will imply labor/mgt and the "collection" implies they collect the funds to pay for the training. Good luck.
