French term or phrase: trottin'herbe
This is something I came across in a tourist brochure - maybe a type of sporting activity?
Helen
English translation:grass scooter
Explanation:
From a brochure:

"Grass-scooter / Trottin' herbe Go down hill, this scooter has big tires, it is super ! and you can take the lift to go up again."
This seems to be a new sport you practice on a slope on the grass.
Compare the two websites in French and in English:

Cheers! Sorry about not getting back at an earlier date - I've only just found out how to grade answers. By the way, this is a really great site for translators, (along with Eurodicautom. Thanks again, you've really helped me out with a term that had me stumped..

mountain scooter

Explanation:
you can see a picture of the trottin'herbe in the site cited below; but I have not been able to find the term in English. I made it up on the assumption that trottinette is a scooter in English, and thinking of mountain bikes. Never seen it in Canada.
