French term or phrase: stage de qualification/stage d'insertion
lancement de stages "jeunes" de qualification et d'insertion. I understand these to be internships that prepare people to get qualified and be included in the work force, but is there a more common translation?
Thanks!

prequalification training/job insertion scheme
Explanation:
The "stage de qualification" is a period of apprenticeship, whereas "insertion" would refer to a subsequent period at a minimum starting wage (these plans are usually translated as "job creation schemes") aimed at incorporating young people, the long-term unemployed, housewives, etc. into the working population.

I actually found "school-to-work transition" for "insertion" in Termium, which I liked a lot (maybe it's very American). Thanks for your suggestions.

Explanation:
If your audience is US English speakers, we don't have has many "train in the workforce" opportunities for our young people as are found in Europe. The term we consistently use to cover any such program is "internship". If your audience is British, someone may have a more complete suggestion for you.
