French term or phrase: container
This appears in a document from Luxembourg.
La société installera un container à l'arrière du restaurant pouvant servir de réserve et de coin bureau pour la gestion du restaurant, installera trois lignes téléphoniques, ...
This is obviously not a container. It sounds from the context as if it is a trailer (in the American English sense). Any suggestions?

Explanation:
Quite often sea freight containers are refurbished into offices. Windows and doors are cut into them, flooring carpet and even air conditioning are fitted into them. They offer a very secure, cheap and mobile alternative to costly office buildings. I was once a manager for a company whose sole purpose was to refurbish containers into offices, work shops, laboratories, dangerous goods containment etc.

agree  xxxsarahl: should be conteneur in French

agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: Highly likely. Might also be being used here as a synonym for a "pre-fab", "Algeco" etc, the latter being a trademark of course, in spite of its being used often to describe a pre-fab.

agree  Richard Benham: Both "conteneur" and "container" are in the only dico I looked in. "Shipping container" might be clearer.

agree  Tony M: Yes; maybe 'standard freight container' if you feel it needs making clear.

agree  Odette Grille: it could be a container within a bigger space. Sentence is faulty, however...
