French term or phrase: suivi de terrain
I asked this before and found that terrain-following was the best option. But how do I put in terrain-following in the following sentence:

Le porteur se déplace en suivi de terrain aérien à 100 m au dessus du sol, sans lissage sur la BDD.

Explanation:
"The carrier takes up an aerial terrain-following position 100 meters above the ground..." If you like, you can omit "aerial," because the rest of the sentence makes it clear. Then, if you want to sound even more aeronautical, you can say "above ground level (AGL)" instead of "above the ground." ("Lissage" in this case is probably "smoothing"; however, it would help to have a confirmed meaning for "BDD".)
