French to English translations [PRO]
French term or phrase: plages de cartes
Context: specification document for a (credit) card management system - relational database

The text talks about a single card and what I can only assume is a range of cards, eg. "Si l'attribut correspond à une plage de cartes ..."
Does "Plage" simply refer to a range as in a block of card numbers?
TIA,
Sarah

Explanation:
The term "plage de cartes" could easily refer to a block of cards whose numbers range from xxxxx through yyyyy; however, it might also mean a series of related cards issued by a single entity and characterized by a particular attribute that they hold in common. (See the web site below, which discusses several varieties of Visa cards, etc., under the heading "The only cards you will ever need.") -- In your text, there isn't really enough context to confirm one meaning or the other.
