French term or phrase: adressage
In developing countries, cities are often made up of informal "neighborhoods" which have no street signs or other means of finding a particular location. I'm using "addressing", but would appreciate it if any of you has a better idea.

Thanks in advance, Eileen

English translation:How about "address determination"?
Explanation:
It's less ambiguous than "addressing," and implies that an activity or process is involved. -- Just a thought!

(or, as a possible alternative, because the buildings don't have numbers and some of the parcels of real estate don't have buildings, what about "location determination"?) -- HTH, HC
