Explanation:
The expression "je puis" is very rarely used. Usually, one uses it in the interrogative form "puis-je", and uses "est-ce que je peux" in the alternative form. Interesting to see it here...

"May I give you a kiss" would be better said in French as "Est-ce que je peux (puis) vous donner un baiser".
