French to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Petroleum Eng/Sci / partnership agreement among oil companies
French term or phrase:reprise d'excédents
These (1962) articles of incorporation for a partnership of oil companies refer frequently to "reprises de produits" and "reprises des excédents" and "prix de reprise" and I'm pretty sure it's about buying back their surplus production but I want to be sure that's how it's expressed (and not trade-in or something) and whether I can use the term buyback in an oil & gas context. If this is a crummy sample text, let me know and I'll find another:
"Les Sociétés Pétrolières autres que [X] achèteront à [Y], au prorata de leurs droits respectifs de fourniture de brut, les produits correspondant à cette diminution des reprises d'excédents du [X]."
