French term or phrase:bord de découpe faisant disparaître le contour
This is a specification for production of an overlay label. I get the idea, but I can't figure out the term of art. It seems to me to be a die-cut edge that makes the shape outline appear invisible (i.e., to disappear). But I'm guessing. Anyone know what this is called in English?
Thanks for proposing an answer, blavatsky. I felt I had to close without grading because the offered term didn't quite fit with other terms in my document and I couldn't find any independent support for your proposed answer as a term of art. In the end, I wrote around the problem and flagged the phrase for the client. If I could have given you an A for effort, I would have!
