French term or phrase: calepinage
In a PPT for a cosmetics chain, explaining the do's and don't's for its mailings and e-mailings, the following list of do's appears for how to make its mailings immediately recognizable:
- Utilisation systématique du visuel institutionnel ou animation
- Format carré 15 x 15 cm)
- Présence de la frise bain
- Présence du bandeau matière
- **Calepinage sur le cartouche**
- Typo utilisée : Helvetica Neue

In this context, would the "cartouche" be the footer of the flyer? However, I haven't been able to find "calepinage" in this context.
Can anyone help me?

layout
Explanation:
'Layout' is the meaning of calepinage used in relation to tiles, i.e. how they are placed relative to the floor/wall space, window openings, bathtubs, etc., especially if motifs or specal tiles such as frieze/border elements are used.

I can only imagine it is used the same way here, and everything must be laid out (harmoniously) around the cartouche which in the context of design drawings is the "title block". Quite what it might be in your documents I don't know. While "footer" is a possibility, there is no guarantee that the cartouche will be (systematically) at the bottom. Like cosmetics.
