Explanation:
This is a literal translation, but what I believe they mean is that there is a time when a commercial forest should be harvested for maximum yield potential and (hopefully) profit. If you harvest too early, you get inferior lumber yields from trees that are too small; if you harvest too late, you don't gain anything in timber yield and quantity, plus it will be that many more years before you can replant and get another timber crop.


    I am an agricultural research specialist, forestry isn't exactly my field, hope this helps.

I think it means the value that the forest will have after you have waited a long enough period of time for it to mature or to regenerate, whatever the case may be. Without more context, it is difficult to know what term would translate this best, but I think it would be one of the expressions above.
