French abbreviations. Could GC be the configuration guide?
Explanation: Can't locate anything in any of my references. I might be able to help if I had some more context/specifics about the material you are translating. The only GCES I could track down on the Web relates to ecology/geology (7 entries located through Alta Vista--see URL below). Could this be some kind of internal (to the company) abbreviation? It might be good to ask the client what those acronyms are for...

GC = "Gestion Conservatoire" ["Conservative management"]
GCES = "Gestion Conservatoire de l'Eau, de la biomasse et de la fertilité des Sols"
["Conservative management of water, biomass, and soil fertility"]
as in the following two citations (first and second web sites, respectively):
"Introduction à la Gestion Conservatoire de l'Eau, de la biomasse et de la fertilité des Sols" (GCES)
and: "Chapitre 11: L'agroforesterie, la fertilisation minérale et la GCES au Rwanda…"
