French term or phrase: defilement des images (video game)
"En Europe, la norme commune de defilement des images dans les scenes cinematiques est de 25 images par seconde."

I found "scrolling" on Termium but that doesn't sound right to me. I also found "frame roll" in a media dictionary and "projection speed" in a general dictionary. Are any of these right or is there another term? Thanks, Karen

Explanation:
AS AN ALTERNATIVE, BECAUSE 'SCROLL' SEEMS MORE TO IMPLY SCREENS BEING SWITCHED, NOT A CONTINUOUS MOVEMENT.

En Europe, la norme commune de defilement des images dans les scenes cinematiques est de 25 images par seconde.
IN EUROPE, THE COMMUNITARY/COMMON/TYPICAL NORM GOVERNING THE RUNNING/SCREENING OF CINEMATIC SCENES IS 25 IMAGES PER SECOND.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. There are probably various ways you can say this, but after doing more research I found "frame rate" a number of times when the text was talking about frames per second. So that's what I ended up using. Karen
