French term or phrase: chantier de transformation
Informatics context. I know this is some kind of a worksite, but all I can come up with doing a Google search are transformations of physical areas. Not at all sure how to go about phrasing this for the following context:

Si ces outils sont inadaptés ou inexistants par rapport aux attendus du Client, un chantier de transformation, sera réalisé par le XX si nécessaire.

What kind of a worksite does one carry out/set up to perform transformations on a client system?

alternative (industrial) worksite
Explanation:
Dr. Broad,

I recently read an article on the Internet about a French construction site being modified in order to improve work conditions. The author of the text did indeed use the phrase "chantier de transformation" to mean an "alternative industrial worksite" or just simply, "alternative worksite." This suggests a "modified worksite" to enhance work conditions for the construction workers complaining of "poor work conditions." The employer was ordered by French law to initiate a "modified or reconstructed milieu" for his employees; in other words, the workplace environment (both the physical and mental elements of the workplace ambiance.

Hope this helps and
Good luck with your translation

Thanks Matt. This does indeed help clear things up for me. I just wasn't sure how "technical" this "chantier" might be!

test site

Explanation:
I would guess the meaning is "a test site" (i.e. an expendable copy of the actual system) " will be set up by XXX if necessary".

Just a guess from my IT past...

Explanation:
Le chantier de transformation signifie
un systeme de remplacement. Transformation signifie ici remplacement puisque les outils sont

Le mot chantier signifie systeme ici.
