obstructed Explanation: Congested is more for moving oblects (almost all the links I looked at referred to different kinds of traffic) I think `'obstructed' is fine, although I have problems understanding the 'flame front' part, but the key lies in 'obstacles' really. Obstacles obstruct, if you get my drift. I was unable to find suitable references, except to 'obstructed physical access', 'obstructed river' and 'obstructed justice', but the idea is that nothing moves, whereas 'congested' implies movement, even if limited. http://www.google.com/search?q=obstructed zone domino effect... |

congested area Explanation: (Sorry, even though I am francophone, I find quicker to write in English) I just found your request, and by the time I found something to support my answer, you had already selected another answer. Nevertheless, for what it's worth, I wanted to tell you that "congested area" seems perfectly acceptable to me. In my mind, it does carry the very same meaning. "The provisions of the redeployment plan will be applicable within congested areas, i.e., areas of intensive mobile use, where applicants are denied access to spectrum. These provisions may also be applied to assignments in areas surrounding the congested areas if they are expected to impact the availability of spectrum within the congested areas." http://canada.gc.ca/gazette/part1/ascII/g1-13244_e.txt Hoping it will help. |
