French term or phrase: bogie caisse
This has to be a part of a train. I'm stumped by "caisse"; otherwise, the dictionary says the first part is bogey, bogy or bogie. Poor me can't even imagine what that looks like!

bogey housing
Explanation:
would seem to be the right term, despite the adjectival inversion.

There's a drawing at the following web site; hope it helps!

Thanks! Later on an engineer told me it was better off as case, but seems there are two devices to which this could possibly refer.

1 day 7 hrs
box bogie

Explanation:
Refers to a particular type of bogie construction in which the frame is structurally a box. Hence the apparent adjectival inversion is misleading.

Recollection of term seen in UK literature.
