sure these are not ball bearings? Explanation: A short web search brought up 8 direct hits (plural) on pétanque, in which the variant "boules lisses" makes it clear that the balls are absolutely smooth without any texture. This reminded me of ball bearings, which are used in many mechanical processes. |
