Does this simply mean that "posts and ceiling which shelters a lay out adapted to the goods on sale" ?

English translation:The columns and ceiling house a display specially designed for the goods on sale
Explanation:
I agree about shelter.

Abriter could be translated "provide a frame / a stage for..."

It depends how marketing oriented you want to be..

Specially-designed display units are set into the walls and ceiling

Explanation:
"The wall panels (1) and ceiling (2) house units designed for the goods to be sold."

"Specially-designed display units (3) are set into the walls and ceiling".

From context adding "for the goods on sale / to be sold" may be included in "display unit".

(1) A total guess here for "montants" as unless you have seen a picture of have some further information, the "montants" could be any vertical structure which supports the ceiling, I suggest wall panels as I find it difficult to imagine columns housing display units. It might very well be colmuns though!

(2) or even "overhead units" if it is a free independent structure

(3) "adapté à" means suited to, made to suit, for example. "Designed for" implies made specially to suit, whereas adapted suggests that an existing structure has been modified.
