French term or phrase: définition
From an article on digital radio. I finally got the right document from the client and have this question.

(referring to the standardization of satellite hybrid technology) Définition dans le contexte européen à normaliser.

From a table comparing different digital radio systems (DMR, IBOC, satellite hybride, DAB, ect.)"Définition" also appears in "Fonction de la définition du système retenu en Europe", in reference to the capacity/effective speed of satellite hybrid.

From my ProZ term search, I gather that "définition" has to do with technical information. Can I use specifications here?

TIA.
