According to the websites I visited, when 'adossée' was applied to non-physical objects, it referred to some kind of support, guarantee, or subsidy

...as explained in the paragraph (thanks, Tony)

...referred to herafter as .... (and then you just take what they are called in the title of the paragraph.)
Needless to say, canaria, when you submit the finished piece, just leave out "(ci-apres designess les Chaines Adossees)" and translate "Chaines Independants" as "independent channels".
Unless of course there is another type of "Chaines Independants", in which case select a different answer!!
