Aus einer Rede zum Thema Behinderungen. Der Autor argumentiert erst, dass Schwäche nicht nur Behinderte auszeichnet, sondern zum Menschsein gehört. Die Aufgabe der öffentlichen Hand sei es jedoch, die Schwächsten und Verletzlichsten zu schützen. Und dann folgt dies:

La solidarité est la seule parade que nous puissions apporter à la faiblesse de notre statut. C’est au travers de la solidarité que nous pouvons monter la grandeur de l’homme.

Wie würdet ihr hier «faiblesse de notre statut» übersetzen? Die «Schwäche unseres Daseins»? Klingt ja irgendwie seltsam. Hat jemand eine gute Idee? Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe!
